Human life can be bought and sold cheap at the Catskill Mountain Mall. A familiar haven where suburban comfort gets negated by brutal reality.
In a mundane shopping mall, on a typical Saturday morning in 2003, ordinary strangers will be drawn into a classic struggle of life over death. Twenty very different, unsuspecting people will profoundly alter one another because of their lust for sex, their quest for power, their relentless greed, or their unprotected innocence.
Twenty assorted, very realistic individuals no different from yourselves or those you value most, divided into two groups according to nature’s most basic principles of, “Survival of the Fittest,” “Right vs. Wrong,” “Good over Evil.”
The Predators:
Tony Breeze – loan shark and drug dealer
Stanley – the rapist
Roland – the enforcer
Robby – the opportunist
Their Victims:
Amanda – the teenage store clerk
Lou – Catskill Mountain Mall security
Choon-Yi – the restaurant cook
Terry – the good father
Rebecca – the prostitute by choice
Cindy – the prostitute by circumstance
Squiggly Bob – the vagrant
One Saturday at the Mall in 2003 will be enough to turn worlds upside down and decimate futures.
